A historical and social view of Filipino life caught in the throes of poverty, prostitution, and revolutionary change. It is a chronicle of the filmmaker’s personal history as it intersects with the social upheaval of the past twenty years climaxing in the 1986 People’s Power Revolution. Combining super-8 home movies and photographs together with footages taken from his documentaries, the filmmaker revisits his childhood leading to his growing up years during the Martial Law period. This autobiographical film becomes a record not only of his personal life but also of the social life he knew. The film captures contemporary history up close and personal.
